We are very excited to welcome Nicole Smith to the OPS team as our NEW PRINCIPAL from the beginning of Term Two!
We’re sure our school community will make her feel very welcome!
Here is a message from Nicole:
My name is Nicole Smith and I am thrilled to be joining the Officer Primary School community as the new principal. I have been in education for just over 25 years now, 11 years as a classroom teacher and specialist teacher and another 14 years as an Assistant Principal and Acting Principal at several primary schools. I have been fortunate enough to work in a range of school communities throughout my career which has given me the opportunity to learn and grow as a teacher and a leader.
Over the last 25 years I have had many career highlights, which includes sharing my love of literacy with all students, staff and families, leading staff to create amazing teaching and learning programs for our students and working with school communities to make our school a great place to learn and grow.
Away from school I like to spend time with my two gorgeous kids, James (13) and Cleo (9), we love walking our dog, going to the park, reading together, watching movies and cooking. When I manage to get some free time I love reading, baking, walking, listening to music or a podcast, spending time with my friends and going on holidays to the beach.
I am very excited to meet all members of the OPS community, please come and say hello and introduce yourself.
